God of compassion,
be close to those who are ill, afraid or in isolation.
In their loneliness, be their consolation;
in their anxiety, be their hope;
in their darkness, be their light;
through him who suffered alone on the cross,
but reigns with you in glory,
Jesus Christ our Lord.

'To provide Living Proof of a Loving God to a Watching World'

The Government has announced that, subject to the continued progress in controlling the Covid-19 virus spread in our communities, Churches can open for Public Worship beginning on 4th. July 2020. We await detailed guidance as to exactly how this re-opening will look and under what level of precautions but All Saints, Pontefract will open its doors for Public Worship as soon as it is safe and practicable to do so. Watch this space for further details as and when we are able to give them.

In the meantime our services will be Streamed as usual on Sundays and Wednesdays, and it is hoped that even after we open the doors we will be able to continue to stream our services so that anyone who cannot or is not yet ready to come back to church will be able to join with us in our Worship

With the suspension of public services many of us who usually give during the Church Services we attend have been unable to do so. If you click on the title above then you will be taken to our Give a Little page where you can make an on-line donation and if you are a UK Taxpayer you can also register your gift as Gift-Aided or go to our 'SUPPORT' page

Our Church Building continues to be closed for worship and prayer so we continue our Streamed services whenever possible, each Wednesday Morning, Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening. See details under 'Stop Press' for the latest services planned.

More details may be found by following this link to our 'Information & Precautions' page, which includes contact details and etc.

Working towards becoming a Dementia Friendly Parish

Thank you for visiting our Website! We try very hard to keep it up to date so do keep coming back to see the latest news and information about events.

Situated in South Baileygate, under the shadow of the once great Pontefract Castle, All Saints Church stands as a living memorial to those who, down the ages and in many different ways have Worshipped and supported the Work of God in our town.

A place of worship since at least c.1300AD, All Saints has survived not only the destructive bombardments of multiple Castle Sieges during the Civil War, but also the many social upheavals of the last 700 or so years.

It is still very much alive and active today, both Spiritually and as a local landmark of significant historical interest. It is the Worship Centre for a community of Christians from Pontefract and the surrounding area who come to  share fellowship with each other in communion with God and to sing His Praise and Worship Him in and through our lives.
